Images From My Past!

Popeye was the first image I can remember as a child. I'm from the bordertown of Nuevo Laredo in Mexico and we would recieve the broadcasts of American Cartoons like Fleischer's Betty Boop and Popeye the Sailor Man. My brother, sister, and I would sing the songs even though we did not speak English.
When we moved to Dallas, Texas in 1961, I was 6 years old. I remember this painting of Napoleon Crossing the St. Benard Pass done by painter, Jacques-Louis David around 1801, was used in a Liquor Ad. It became part of my childhood dreams (advertising art appreciation at such an early age). It reminds me of the shot in The Deer Hunter where the camera zooms into the deer's eye right after Michael (Robert DeNiro) sleeps with Nick's(Christopher Walken) girl, Angela (Meryl Streep) and before he goes to find his friend, Steven (John Savage) at the VA Hospital.
It was the best horse painting I had ever seen till Frank Frazetta did this one below.
